Thailand is located in the middle of Indochina Peninsula, bordered by the Gulf of Siam and Malaysia to the south, Laos and Cambodia to the east, and Myanmar and Andaman Sea to the west. It covers an area of 513,000 square kilometers and has a population of nearly 70 million [5]. Since the 11th century, the Thai - speaking people have moved southward from southwest China. Before that, monh, Khmer and Malay rulers all ruled parts of what is now Thailand, bringing buddhist and Hindu cultures to the region. The Thai people who moved into the territory of today's Thailand won the initiative and became the mainstream group of Thai history and culture, establishing the kingdom of Sukhothai, Lanna and Ayutthaya. At the end of the 15th century, the kingdom of Ayuttoya entered a prosperous period of cultural prosperity and social stability. It reached its peak during the reign of Narai King, but after that, it gradually declined and was invaded by Burma. It was destroyed in the Siamese War in 1767. General Zheng Zhao led his army to recover the territory and reunite Siam, establishing the Kingdom of Tonburi in 1767. In 1782 thongluan took the throne as Rama I, beginning the rule of the Zakri dynasty that continues to this day. Thailand was the only country in modern Southeast Asia to survive foreign colonization, but it was forced to sign multiple unequal treaties and lost a large part of its territory. During the reign of King Chulalongkorn, Siam's political and social system ushered in a series of westernization reforms and became a modern autocratic monarchy. In 1932, the Siam constitutional revolution broke out, and the royal family decided to change to a constitutional monarchy. Prime Minister Luang Phuboon Sonkan implemented the policy of Thai and changed the country's name to Thailand. During the Cold War, Thailand became a major ally of the United States in Southeast Asia and led the establishment of the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization. The political environment of modern Thailand is not very stable. The military has repeatedly overthrown the civilian government by military coups and imposed military rule. Since the coup d 'at in 2014, Thailand has been in a new round of military rule and popular demonstrations. Thailand is a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and is considered a medium power with a high human development index. Thailand's economy grew rapidly after World War II. As a newly industrialized country, It is the second largest economy in Southeast Asia and the 20th largest economy in the world based on purchasing power parity. Manufacturing, agriculture and tourism are important sectors of Thailand's economy [10][11].
